Harold House is a three-storey townhouse from the late 1700s situated in the Old Town of Cowes, Isle of Wight. When the now-owners purchased it in 2020, it had been untouched for thirty years and was in much need of repair so they extensively refurbished it using local tradesmen on the Isle of Wight. They designed the timber kitchen, which was custom-made on the island, reinstated period features such as reclaimed floorboards and fireplaces and lined the walls with tongue and groove paneling for a gentle nod to the seaside. They used a muted paint palette by Craig and Rose 1829 inspired by the local coast colours, mixed vintage and new to furnish the house in a simple, understated style.

Harold House resonated with people on and off the Island and was the catalyst for the creation of Jack Thompson and Co, a lifestyle and interior design store established on Cowes High Street last year featuring Falcon Enamelware in abundance.
