A pasta bowl also needs a significant lip to avoid spillage and contain all the rich sauce. Our pasta bowls have a depth of 3.5cm, so great for children to use, as it allows room for practising the twirling of spaghetti whilst minimising the amount of sauce and pasta that escapes the bowl.
Our set of 4 pasta bowls looks great whilst in storage as well. The bowls stack together neatly, reducing the amount of space they take up in your cupboard whilst also displaying the iconic colourful rims. The stackability of these bowls also makes them great for holidays and camping trips, with the excellent durability of the enamelware ensuring they won’t get damaged during travel.
Our pasta bowl sets aren’t only restricted to use for bowls of pasta. These versatile plates are great for fresh salads, soups, and rice dishes such as Risotto.
Additionally, they prove valuable in the preparation of food. Our set of 4 pasta bowls can be used for breading chicken, fish or vegetables before frying, as well as using them to toss salads or combine ingredients.
Below is a delicious recipe for a fava and mint pesto pasta. This recipe is quick and easy yet packed with high nutritional value and lots of flavours. The perfect pasta recipe to pile high in our Deep Plates.
1. Transfer 200 grams of the fresh fava beans with the garlic into a food processor, and add the pecorino cheese which has been cut into small cubes, mint leaves and a pinch of salt. Blend until you have a coarse paste. Next, add plenty of oil and season with salt and pepper then pulse a few times until creamy.
2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta until al dente according to your packet’s instructions. Remember to reserve ½ cup of the cooking water, then drain the pasta.
3. In your enamel pasta bowl, mix pesto with enough reserved cooking water to form a thin sauce. Add the pasta, and the rest of the fava beans, and toss well with oil to combine.
5. Before serving garnish with mint, and sprinkle with cheese.
