Outstanding in the Field offers a momentary experience, a joyful celebration of human connection through food. They gather people to one long table to share the most fundamental and universal human conversation: a meal.
This year, the team travels to a 500-year-old family farm in Devon, hosted by farmer Matt Chatfield who is a passionate and conscientious sheep farmer and a staunch supporter of regenerative agriculture. They’ll be hosting a tight team of chefs in the field kitchen, including Cornwall native Ben Quinn who brings expertise in woodfired and outdoor cooking and longtime OITF friend Adam Dulye will hop the pond to join Ben for a feast that celebrates cull yaw as much as the summer bounty of Southwest England’s vibrant farming community.
